SWDart Renewable Energy Logo

SWDart Renewable Energy

Specialise in the design supply, installation and maintenance of Renewable Heating solutions. We work with Air (ASHP), Ground (GSHP) and Water (WSHP) Source Heat Pumps with the added benefit of Radiator or Underfloor Heat emitters. We are registered for RHI Certification and Solar PV. Plus for your peace of mind members of RECC, NAPIT, NICEIC, Trust Mark and Which? to name a few.

Company Mission Statement

To supply efficient, low-carbon (net zero) and cost effective heating solutions across off-gas areas of the South West.  Making homes more sustainable by upgrading the heating system to fully electric heating using heat pumps and removing reliance on Oil or LPG as a fuel source (including the agriculturally intensive green replacements of synthetics).

As a company we have been installing renewable systems since 2010.  As a pioneer in this field we are also conscious we are training and encouraging the next generation of Renewable Engineers to take on the mantel of this nascent industry as the country moves away wholesale from gas (LPG and mains) and Oil over coming decades.

Working greener

Our office is heated by a high efficiency Air Source Heat Pump providing heating and hot water.  The office is available as a show ‘home’ for Air Source Heating, underfloor and radiator emitters.  The lighting is all low energy LED.  Our Unit/storage facility is  Low Energy LED on movement sensors meaning no lights are left on after hours!

Around 2/3rds of our installations annually are for customers who wish to make their homes more affordable and sustainable to run by taking homes off of heating systems using expensive atmosphere harming fossil fuels (Oil and LPG).  The remaining installations are in new builds complementing high specification dwellings built with sustainability in mind.  In either case there is scope for the inclusion of feature wood burning stoves, plus use of underfloor heating or radiators.

Where we can, we use complimentary Heating Systems integrated with direct and stored Solar Electric (PV) plus batteries or Solar Thermal (Hot Water), Hot Water tank, to further enhance the sustainability, running cost reduction and green credentials.

Our goals for 2020

Our goal is to encourage the adoption of this nascent but very necessary heating technology.

We fully support the moves from fossil fuel based systems to renewable source. The current entry costs of renewables is high for this technology to become everyday normal the entry costs need to be reduced along with the reliance on government incentives. (Two years ago we were receiving no more than 2-3 enquiries a week for Heat Pump installations. Today we are receiving 5-6 day.)

Our green products

All of our Heat Pumps are driven by electricity.  Year-on-year and month-on-month  higher percentage of electricity is derived from non-fossil fuels. The high efficiency of Heat Pumps over a heating system mean that heating your home is up 50% cheaper than LPG and around a 1/4 the cost of pure electric heaters alone.

Green services

We design, supply, install and maintain Renewable Heating system integrated to additional renewable energy source.
